(Koolkuna Womens Refuge) – who provide support and accommodation to
women and children escaping domestic violence

Training and Employment group
– convened by the City of Swan to develop enhanced employment
opportunities for Indigenous Australians
Swan Accommodation Providers Network –
convened by the City of Swan – to explore opportunities with a range of
accommodation and crisis housing providers to increase affordable and
crisis housing in the region
Midland Aboriginal Local Justice Forum
– a forum to encourage agencies to work effectively together to improve
services to Aboriginal people and to reduce offending, particularly by
young people.
Swan Chamber of
Commerce -
the peak forum for businesses in the Midland
region and the only full-time organisation representing the business
community of Midland and surrounding areas.
The Jobs Australia Midland CEO has held the Board portfolio of
‘Employment and Community Issues’ for more than 7 years.

Jobs Australia is the national peak body for not-for-profit organisations that assist unemployed people to get and keep jobs. The network helps members to make the most effective use of their resources and promotes the needs of unemployed people for the services and support that will help them to participate fully in society. Jobs Australia is the largest network of employment and related service providers in Australia and is funded and owned by its members. Their mission is to contribute to a more equitable Australia by representing community-based employment and related services organisations; strengthening the capacity of members, and of the communities and individuals they serve; and promoting better understanding of the needs and interests of disadvantaged unemployed people. Australia
COMMACT supports people-centred development organisations and projects
in countries around the world. Their activities are diverse and provide,
for example, education and skills, economic independence, housing,
health, and family support. In common they share the aim to empower and
enable
poor and marginalised individuals, groups and
communities to increase the control they have over their lives. For the
past six years a growing group of people from non-profit, non-government
and social enterprise community organisations in India, Australia, the
United Kingdom, Malaysia and New Zealand have been meeting to work out
ways to share what they have learned, to ask each other questions, and
to offer each other support.

National Employment Services Association Limited (NESA) was established
in October 1997 and is the leading influential body representing
providers of economic and social participation services. As the voice
for the employment services industry, NESA represents and works to
advance the development and improvement of the industry across
Australia. NESA members comprise of both for profit and not for profit
organisations that deliver government contracted employment services.
On behalf of its membership NESA works with Government, employers and
others to achieve continued improvements in service provision to
Australian job seekers, particularly those who are disadvantaged and
face challenges joining the workforce or increasing participation in
work.
