Traineeships
Traineeships usually last for 12 months and are a combination of work and training. The training may be on or off the job. They are open to anyone, regardless of age, providing the job has Award coverage and the applicant has not already undertaken a similar level of training.
Employers enter into an agreement similar to an apprenticeship and have the option of paying trainees under the National Training Wage, which is equivalent to 70-80% of the Award rate, to reflect the proportion of time spent in training.
Training delivered is nationally recognised
Traineeships are provided at no cost – and you will attract subsidies and wage related benefits
A Traineeship can result in a more qualified and capable employee as trainees are able to develop skills on the job, and therefore make a positive contribution to your company.
You are able to choose your trainee and your training provider, decide when the training will take place, and have a say in the training content.
We have relationships with Traineeship Support Services who specialise in your industry. Let us know if you have a vacancy for a trainee and we will offer you a selection of suitable applicants. When you have selected your preferred applicant we will arrange for a Traineeship specialist to visit you, discuss your needs, establish a training plan and take care of all the paperwork. They will maintain their support to you and the trainee throughout the period of the Traineeship to ensure a positive outcome for all.
